Vancouver Canadians Announce General Manager for 2005 Season

Vancouver, BC â The Vancouver Canadians are excited to announce that Delany Dunn has been named the team's General Manager for the 2005 season. Delany Dunn has been with the C's for four seasons acting as an Account Executive, Director of Ticket Operations and is also the in-house voice of the Vancouver Canadians. "As a proud Canadian, I am truly honoured to be named the General Manager of one of the few Professional Baseball teams left in Canada." Delany's experience is sure to serve him well in his new position.
Supporting Delany will be Ben Ekren, named Assistant General Manager. Ben has been with the ball club for five seasons acting as an Account Executive and Manager of Corporate and Group Events for the past three seasons. " I'm really looking forward to the opportunity that has been provided to me and hope to make a big difference in the years to come" says Ekren.
Bill Posthumus has been named Special Assistant to the Owner. Bill has been working in professional baseball in Vancouver for twenty-two (22) years, dating back to the days of the Triple A Vancouver Canadians. He has worked his way up from Parking Lot Attendant to Director of Stadium Operations, a position he held with the Triple A ball club and holds currently with Vancouver Canadians in addition to his new role.
Jeff Dye has been promoted to Assistant Marketing Manager for the ball club. Jeff Dye, a UBC Commerce graduate has been with the ball club for two seasons, starting out as a member of the Games Day Operations team in 2003. He is also currently the Community Relations contact for the Canadians.
President, Dan Kilgras says, "I'm extremely proud of the four individuals receiving promotions this year. All four have worked extremely hard and are deserving of their new roles. We as an organization are excited about the long term stability these promotions bring us and look forward to an extremely productive 2005."
The Canadians are proud to have Lori Bonang, formerly Games Day Operations staff, join them for another season in the position of Ticket Manager. Returning in the role of outside sales Account Executive is Stephen Hopkins, Leanne Cass, and James Shamenski.
