
Valour FC Sign CPL U-Sports Draft Pick Jacob Carlos

WINNIPEG, MB. - Valour FC today announce that the club has signed Canadian midfielder Jacob Carlos to a U-Sports contract.
Carlos, 20, joins Valour FC after being drafted 12th overall in the 2022 CPL U-Sports Draft from the Ryerson University Rams, where he appeared in 11 matches, totalling two goals, two assists and 453 minutes played in 2021.
"We're happy to have signed Jacob," said Valour FC Head Coach & GM Phillip Dos Santos. "He came into training camp extremely determined and earned his spot on the squad. We liked his versatility, his approach to the game and his tactical awareness."
The Mississauga native was a part of the Toronto FC Academy during the 2018-2019 season, playing with the U18/U19 squad.
Carlos has also spent time in Europe, playing for Portuguese club Académico de Viseu F.C in 2017-18 and Swedish club IK Frej in 2016-17.
