
Valour FC Select Two Players in CPL-U Sports Draft

WINNIPEG, MB. - Valour FC today selected two players in the 2022 CPL-U SPORTS Draft. By drafting these players, the club will now have the option to bring them into preseason camp and explore the possibilities of developmental contracts.
With their first pick, fourth overall, Valour FC selected Raine Lyn (midfielder) out of Cape Breton University.
Lyn, 20, played the past two seasons with Cape Breton University, making 21 appearances, totalling one assist.
With their second pick, 12th overall, Valour FC selected Jacob Carlos (midfielder) out of Ryerson University.
Carlos, 20, joined the Ryerson University Rams in 2021, appearing in 11 matches, totalling two goals, two assists and 453 minutes played.
The Mississauga native was a part of the Toronto FC Academy during the 2018-2019 season, playing with the U18/U19 squad.
Carlos has also spent time in Europe, playing for Portuguese club Académico de Viseu F.C in 2017-18 and Swedish club IK Frej in 2016-17.
