Valley Legends announce honorary mayor as GM

Woodland Hills, CA. The Valley Legends ABA professional basketball teams scheduled to begin play in November has just announced its new General Manager, Michael Miller, who also serves as the Honorary Mayor of Woodland Hills, CA and is a successful businessman for over 18 years. "Michael is a great guy who is very involved with the community, well liked; he knows basketball and is basketball minded," said President and Head Coach Gary Grant. "I don't think I know anyone who is as committed to the community as Michael is. It was a smart decision to get Michael involved."

"We want the Valley Legends and the ABA to do extremely well, which we know we can. We have to have a professional organization with the right people that care and conduct themselves professionally which is very important. We plan on being one of the "premiere" teams in the ABA," Grant added.

The Valley Legends will play its games at Pasadena City College which seats 4100. The Legends are hoping that tentative plans that are in development for building a new arena in the Valley will get approved. The Legends will kick of their first season ticket drive in May 2005 allowing fans to reserve season tickets.

The Legends have already received a great response and are hoping that area residents and businesses will support the team and get involved. The Vallehy Legends will have its team tryouts, Youth Camps and 2 on 2 tournaments beginning this summer. For more info, visit www.legendsbasketball.com.
