DAYTON, Ohio - Brandon Valenzuela collected three RBIs to lead the Fort Wayne TinCaps to a win over the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds affiliate), 7-3, at Day Air Ballpark.

First, Valenzuela made an impact in the fifth inning with Fort Wayne (10-13, 37-52) up 3-1. With the infield in and runners on second and third, the designated hitter bounced a base hit through the right side to knock in two runs. The TinCaps led 5-1 through five. Valenzuela came to the plate again with two runners on in the ninth and stung a liner to center field to score Anthony Vilar, who scored three times in the game.

Fort Wayne also received major offensive contributions from Lucas Dunn - who hit a two-run homer in the second to put the TinCaps up 2-0 - and Robert Hassell III - who recorded a hit, walk, and RBI. Corey Rosier had his third straight multi-hit game.

Dayton (6-15, 45-42) scored all three of its runs on home runs, pushing its league-leading home run total to 106. TinCaps starter Ryan Bergert was solid, though, posting 5 and 1/3 innings with four hits, two runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts. Seth Mayberry struck out three in two scoreless innings to earn the save.
