Valdez Joins Snappers Front Office Staff

The Beloit Snappers are pleased to announce that Rick Valdez has joined the front office staff and has accepted the position of Director of Operations. Valdez will join the staff immediately. Valdez is no stranger to the Snappers organization. He has spent four seasons on the Snappers grounds crew, including two as the Assistant Groundskeeper. Valdez is a native of Beloit and a 1998 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He attended Blackhawk Technical College where he majored in Criminal Justice.

The Snappers return four of the five members of their front office staff from the 2005 season. General Manger Jeff Vohs returns for his second season as GM and sixth overall with the team. Jeremy Neuman returns for his third season as the Snappers' Director of Community and Media Relations/Promotions and fourth overall. Brandon Smith is back for his second season as the teams' Director of Ticket Operations/Merchandise and third overall. Riley Gostisha enters his second season as the Director of Corporate Sales.

"I'm pleased with the staff that is currently in place and feel with the addition of Rick, we will be even stronger." Vohs continued, "We experienced some success in 2005 and the staff was able to grow, I anticipate that growth and success continuing into 2006."

The Snappers are set to open the season April 6th, 2006 at Pohlman Field, when the Cedar Rapids Kernels visit Beloit. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm. Ticket plans for the 2006 season are currently available. For additional information contact the Snappers at (608) 362-2272.
