Utah Flash News Release
OREM, UT August 18, 2010 - The Utah Flash today announced the scheduled dates for the annual local player tryouts in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2010-2011 NBA D-League season.
The tryout is scheduled for September 11, 2010 at Clayton State University. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. and tryouts are expected to last until 3p.m. The address to the Athletics and Fitness Center is 2000 Clayton State Blvd., Morrow, GA, 30260.
"The open tryout is a great way for us to discover untapped talent," said coach Kevin Young. "We have had great success in the past with open tryouts, and each year we've added at least one player from the tryout to our team. I have no doubt this year will be the same."
During tryouts, players will take part in shooting drills, individual assessments and scrimmages. Prospects will be observed by the Utah Flash basketball operations staff.
Selected players participating in the workouts may be invited to the Flash training camp this fall and compete for a roster spot for the upcoming season.
Interested players should submit completed registration, disclosure, and release forms along with a $150 non-refundable participation fee to the Flash office. Late registration is $175 for all forms received after Monday, September 6th at 5p.m. Tryouts are limited to the first 100 applicants who submit completed registration forms and payment.
Please call the Flash office or visit www.utahflash.com for all required forms and additional information.
