
Utah Flash Conclude Open Tryout

LEHI, Sept. 26 2009 - The Utah Flash conducted their annual open tryout today at the Factory in Lehi, Utah. Players from as near as Lehi and as far as Japan took to the hardwood and demonstrated their abilities for both Utah Flash and Utah Jazz coaches.
"We had a successful tryout," said Coach Jones. "We put these players through quite a rigorous workout. Regardless of whether or not they make the team, it is an accomplishment to have competed today."
Several players traveled from out of state to attend the tryout, including one player from Japan. Masahsi Obuchi, who plays for the Japanese National basketball team as well as a professional league in Japan participated in the tryout activities.
The Flash will hold one more open tryout in Atlanta on Oct. 24 at Clayton State University. Interested players should complete a registration form, as well as a player release and eligibility form. Both are available at utahflash.com or can be requested by emailing drew@utahflash.com. Players that register early should remit a cashier's check for $150 made payable to the Utah Flash. Day of camp registrants will pay $175 by either cash or cashier's check. Payments can be sent to 5017 North Edgewood Drive Provo, Utah, 84604.
Important upcoming dates for the Flash include the NBA D-League draft on Nov. 5, opening day of training camp on Nov. 15 and the first game of the 2009-10 season on Nov. 27.
