USS Abraham Lincoln Returns to Everett

February 22, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Everett Hawks News Release

Everett, WA-The NIFL’s Everett Hawks are excited to participate in the Homecoming of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. Players and cheerleaders will meet up with the ship in San Diego, California on March 1, where members of the team will board. While on the ship team members will sign autographs, perform cheers or help conduct aerobics class, take pictures, participate in Big Bucks Bingo, and hold Exhibition game ticket give-away contests. The ship will return to port in Everett on March 4th around 10 am. Soldiers of the ship will then be greeted by the rest of the Hawks team and staff, other local teams, community leaders, and most importantly families of three ships returning to the Homecoming celebration in their honor.

The Exhibition game held at the Everett Events Center on Sunday March 13th at 1:05 pm will honor those aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as a representative (TBD) will participate in the pre-game coin toss as an honorary member. The team’s first regular season home game on Sunday, April 3rd at 1:05 pm will also be Military Appreciation Day.
