On Saturday night in front of a season-best crowd of 8,402, the Division II Monarchs captured the 2017 USL Regular Season Championship to set up the third-year club's first-ever postseason contest on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20 at 7:30 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium.

The Monarchs' opponent on Friday, Oct. 20 will be determined following results of this weekend's regular-season finales, as any of Sacramento Republic FC (45 pts), OKC Energy FC (46) and Tulsa Roughnecks (46) could finish with the eighth overall Western Conference seed, earning a trip to Utah. This contest on Friday, October 20 kicks off the Claret-and-Cobalt's "AsOne Weekend," which also includes Real Salt Lake's critical season-ending match on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2:00 p.m. MT.

The 2017 USL Cup Playoffs are a single-elimination postseason tourney, with each 90-minute game played at the home of the higher remaining seed. Should a game be tied after regulation, the match will progress to a pair of 15-minute overtime periods to determine a winner (if necessary). If the match remains tied after 120 minutes, kicks from the penalty mark will be utilized as the tiebreaker.

Saturday, October 28* - 7:00 p.m. MT - Western Conference Semifinal

Monday, November 13 - 7:00 p.m. MT - USL Cup Final

The Monarchs boast a league-best 11-1-3 home record, outscoring opponents 33-13 this season, with Rio Tinto Stadium welcoming LA Galaxy II this Saturday in the club's 2017 USL reg. season finale (7:00 p.m. MT kickoff).
