USBL to Hold 2002 Draft

April 8, 2002 - United States Basketball League (USBL) - St. Louis SkyHawks News Release

St. Louis, MO - The St. Louis SkyHawks announced today the United States Basketball League (USBL) 2002 Draft will be held Tuesday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m. CST via teleconference from the league headquarters in Milford, Connecticut.

The 2002 Draft consists of eight rounds, with each team having one pick per round. The three expansion franchises, including St. Joseph (MO), St. Louis (MO) and Adirondack (NY), drew for the top three spots in the first round. The order following the inaugural season teams was determined by their 2001 regular season standing. Following Round One, each team will move up one spot in the draft order through the succeeding eight rounds.

The following is the selection order of the 2002 USBL Draft:

1. St. Joseph Express
2. St. Louis SkyHawks
3. Adirondack Wildcats
4. Brooklyn Kings
5. Dodge City Legend
6. Brevard County Blue Ducks
7. Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs
8. Florida Sea Dragons
9. Kansas Cagerz
10. Oklahoma Storm
