SkyHawks Hit the Road to Kansas

St. Louis, MO ~ The St. Louis SkyHawks of the United States Basketball League (USBL), head to Salina, Kansas on Saturday, April 27, to take on the Cagerz for the first road game of their 2002 inaugural season. Game tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Bicentennial Center.

The SkyHawks and Cagerz meet for the second time this week, following their season opener last Saturday, April 20, when Kansas defeated St. Louis 111-100 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Mark Twain Basketball Arena.

The SkyHawks (0-1) travel to Kansas with fresh legs and a weeks rest, looking to grab their first victory of the season. St. Louis is led by rookie forward Chad Prewitt, who tallied 19 points and nine rebounds in his professional debut last Saturday versus Kansas. The Cagerz (1-1) look to rebound against the SkyHawks, following a 101-90 upset by the Oklahoma Storm on Wednesday (4/24) night. Forward Johnny Jackson is pacing Kansas, contributing 19.5 points in two games.

Following Saturday’s game versus the Cagerz, St. Louis returns to the Mark Twain Basketball Arena for a three-game home stand, beginning Thursday, May 2 against the Dodge City Legend. Following Thursday’s game, St. Louis hosts the Florida Sea Dragons on Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m., while welcoming Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and his Oklahoma Storm on Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m.
