
US National Under-17 Team takes first place at Four Nations Tournament with 6-2 Win over Switzerland

U.S. National Team News Release
Magnitogorsk, Russia - The U.S. Under-17 Team did not need a win yesterday to finish first in its Four Nations Tournament in Magnitogorsk, Russia, it had already clinched the top spot after defeating Russia on Saturday by a 4-3 score. Nevertheless, Team USA made it a clean sweep by defeating Switzerland in the final game by a score of 6-2.
U.S. National Under-18 Team finishes in second place
The U.S. Under-18 Team defeated Switzerland today by a score of 5-3 and finished its Four Nations Tournament in second place. Chris Carlson was in goal for Team USA. Finland finished in first place.

USA HOCKEY NOTE: U.S. National Under-17 Team assistant coach, Shelley Looney, was playing with the U.S. Women's Select Team which captured a Gold Medal with a shootout win over Canada. It was the second U.S. Gold In Event History.
SKÃVDE, Sweden -- With the score still tied following an overtime period, Cammi Granato (Downers Grove, Ill.) scored the game winner in a shootout to lift the 2003 United States Women's Select Team over rival Canada, 2-1, in the gold-medal game of the 2003 Four Nations Cup here this evening. The victory earned Team USA's first championship at the event since winning the gold medal in1997, when Granato coincidentally also scored the game winner in a shootout
