U.S. National Team News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- USA Hockey, the National Governing Body for the sport in the United States, and its Canadian counterpart -- Hockey Canada, have partnered to launch a North American public service campaign entitled "Relax, It's Just A Game." During simultaneous press conferences on Thursday, Nov. 13 in New York and Toronto, the long-time on-ice rivals will team-up to unveil the highly anticipated PSA's promoting appropriate adult behavior in youth sports.
The campaign was developed in association with Palmer Jarvis DDB, one of North America's leading communications agencies, to raise awareness about the continuing problems posed by parents, coaches and fans who put too much pressure on children involved in hockey and other sports.
Last year's PSA's were nominated for more than 25 industry awards, and captured top honors in the worldwide PSA category at the prestigious Cannes International Advertising Festival in France.
