Upstate University Hospital Opening Night to Feature Special Ticket Discount to Area Nurses

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch will offer a ticket discount to all nurses during the 2015-16 home opener presented by Upstate University Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 17.

To show appreciation for all area nurses, any nurse who calls the Crunch office at 315-473-4444 using the code "NURSE" or shows his or her badge at the War Memorial Arena Box Office will be able to purchase $18 tickets for Oct. 17.

The region's largest employer with nearly 9,000 employees, Upstate Medical University is the only academic medical center in Central New York, serving the New Yorkers from Canada to Pennsylvania with its educational, clinical and research missions. Upstate University Hospital, with two campuses Downtown and Community, employ 1,907 nurses. A highlight of Upstate's leading role in the region is its ability to ensure access to vital one-of-a-kind services, such as burn and trauma care and an array of highly specialized pediatric services. In January, Upstate became the only hospital in Central New York to be certified as a comprehensive stroke center, signifying that Upstate meets the most exacting standards for treating the most complex stroke cases at any time of day.

The Syracuse Crunch 2015-16 home opener is Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located in the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse or by calling the office at 315-473-4444.
