Minnesota United FC News Release

Minnesota United won 2-1 against the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers in a match that took four minutes of stoppage time to produce a winner. In front of a raucous Metrodome crowd Pablo Campos came through with a clutch header that very much personified the teams determination to get the result.

"As a forward you need to have confidence to score goals and you've got to start from some point and hopefully this is going to be my takeoff point. I'm happy to help the team. There is pressure on me to score and I came here to score goals and that's what I have to do." said Campos.

Manny Lagos on the performance, "It became a special night to win that way because the guys didn't give up. I just felt like we were creating some chances in the second half and had the energy to get back into the game. We're obviously excited to get three points." Check out the full match recap with highlights here.

By virtue of taking the three points, Minnesota United stays in the hunt for the NASL crown for the Spring Season. United face top-of-the-table Carolina RailHawks a week from Saturday.

Minnesota United Partners With Read Indeed

On Saturday June 8, Minnesota United teamed up with local non-profit Read Indeed with a book drive outside the Metrodome. Read Indeed founder, Maria Keller, started when she was just 8 years old with a goal of donating 1 million books by the time she is 18. Now 13, Maria is well on her way to 1 million and the success has made her adjust her goal to 3 million. We are very proud of the generosity from our fans on Saturday, donating over 2,000 books to Read Indeed.
