UIF Announces Players of the Week

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football is pleased to announce that Ben Sankey, LaDrelle Bryant, and Adam Hicks have been named the three Players of the Week for Week Two. Sankey of the Rock River Raptors led his team to a victory over the Bloomington Extreme to receive Offensive Player of the Week. Bryant was voted as the Defensive Player of the Week for his play against the Ohio Valley Grey Hounds, and Hicks has been named Special Teams Players of the Week for his role in defeating the Billings Outlaws.
Ben Sankey (ROC) completed 27-29 passes for 288 yards and five touchdowns. He also had one rushing touchdown and no interceptions, as the Raptors beat the Bloomington Extreme 53-20. In week three, the Raptors will have a bye, before hosting the Evansville BlueCats in week four.
LaDrelle Bryant (EVA) had six solo tackles, three assists, 7.5 total tackles, three sacks, and one fumble recovery against the Ohio Valley Greyhounds in the 47-24 win. The BlueCats will play on the road against the Lexington Horsemen (1-1) this week.
Adam Hicks (SF) converted 5-6 extra points and 3-5 field goals including the game winner in overtime against the Billings Outlaws 52-49. Sioux Falls will play in Sioux City, IA, against the Bandits (0-1) Friday night.
Receiving Week Two Honorable Mentions are: Offense, Allen Burrell (SF) and Muhammad Abdulqaadir (RIV); Defense, Nate Fluit (SF); and Special Teams, Ton-Ton Luzayadio (EVA).
