U17 fall to Santa Fe

Blaine, Minn. – The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) U-17 team fell to the Santa Fe Roadrunners, 4-2, in their first game at the North American Hockey League (NAHL) Showcase in Blaine, Minn.

Rhett Rakhshani (Huntington Beach, Cailf.) two goals, his second and third score of the season and Patrick Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.), two assists, (his second and third helper on the year) tallied all the scoring for the USA as they connected just :47 into the second period to tie the game a one and again in the third period on a U.S. power-play.

Joe Palmer (Yorkville, N.Y.) had the start in goal for the U.S. recording 27 saves.

Next action for the U-17 Team at the NAHL Showcase is tomorrow Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 7:30pm at the Schwan's Super Rink, Blaine, Minn. against the Walpole Stars of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL).
