October 20, 2004 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Alexandria Blizzard News Release

The Minnesota Blizzard Junior "A" Hockey organization is pleased to announce that Sean Fish has been selected as the team's "Player of the Week" for the week ending October 16.

Sean is a 5'8", 170-pound Center from Ramsey, MN. In victories at Bismarck October 15th and versus Helena October 16th, Sean recorded three goals and two assists. He scored the winning goal 1:07 into overtime Saturday night, to help Minnesota defeat the Helena, 5-4....the first Blizzard victory in Minnesota over the Bighorns, in five tries, dating back to the inaugural season of 2003-04.

A second-year player with the Blizzard, Sean has the honor of being Team Captain, for October. The Blizzard organization has adopted a program similar to that of the professional franchise based in the state, the NHL's Minnesota Wild, where the club selects Captains on a rotating basis each month. Sean came to the Blizzard in the summer of 2003, after completing an outstanding High School hockey career, in which he earned All-State and All-Northwest Suburban Conference Honors. For two years, he was Team Captain of his alma mater, Anoka High School. In his Senior year, Sean was instrumental, in leading the Anoka Tornadoes to the Minnesota Class AA State Championship.

Away from the competitive arena of hockey, Sean enjoys water sports (tubing, knee boarding and wake boarding), weightlifting, and golfing. He enjoys steak as a favorite food, and "Friends" and "ESPN Sportscenter" as his favorite TV programs. Sean is the son of Steve and Robin Fish.

The Minnesota Blizzard congratulates Sean Fish from Ramsey, MN as the team's "Player of the Week"!
