ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Jeremy Morin (Auburn, N.Y.) and Jerry D'Amigo (Binghamton, N.Y.) each tallied as the U.S. National Under-18 Team fell to the Marquette Rangers 4-2 here tonight.

At 2:40 in the first period, Marquette took a 1-0 lead after Jimmy Gallagher tipped a shot from Scott Henegar past goaltender Adam Murray (Anchorage, Alaska) for a power-play goal.

In the second stanza, Team USA tied the game at 1-1 on a power-play goal at 0:59 when John Ramage (Chesterfied, Mo.) found an open Morin, who fired a wrist shot into the upper right corner of the net. Marquette retook the lead at 10:47 as Collin Saint-Onge scored a goal off assists from Aaron Pietila and Garrett Ladd.

Marquette extended the lead to 3-1 just 1:55 into the third frame as Saint-Onge scored a short-handed goal off a centering pass from Ladd. However, Team USA quickly cut the deficit in half at 3:13 when D'Amigo went coast-to-coast and snapped a shot past netminder Dan Sullivan for a power-play goal. The score was made 4-2 when Ladd took a pass from Gallagher off a face-off and clanged a shot off the crossbar into the back of the net to cap the scoring.

Murray turned aside 23 shots.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team returns to action tomorrow night against the Marquette Rangers at 7 p.m. ET at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.
