UPCOMING
The U.S. National Under-17 Team wraps up their regular season play in Cleveland, against the Cleveland Barons on Saturday (March 26). Start time for that game is set for 7:00pm. The Under-17s then make a trip to Alaska to take on The Fairbanks Ice Dogs in round one of the NAHL playoffs.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team will be selected and departing on April 7, for pre- training in Fussen, Germany. The team opens competition at the World Under-18 Championship on April 24, in Plzen, Czech Republic. The tournament consists of a four game round robin, followed by a medal round. After the first four games, there is a crossing over into other brackets for competition before contending for the medal rounds.

Friday, March 18, 2005 – USA 13, Toledo 0
ANN ARBOR, MICH. – The U.S. Under-18 Team defeated the Toledo Ice Diggers in their last home game of the 2004-2005 season, 13-0, on Friday (March 18). Leading all scorers on the evening was Jack Johnson (Faribault, Minn.)
with seven points (2G, 1PPG, 4A). Peter Mueller (Bloomington, Minn.) added six points (3G, 1PPG, 2A). Phil Kessel (Madison, Wis.) had four points in the contest (2PPG, 2A), as did Ryan Stoa (Bloomington, Minn.) (1G, 3A). Jason Lawrence (Saugus, Mass.) tallied three points (1G, 2A) while Zach MacVoy (Livonia, Mich.) and Danny Fardig (Ann Arbor, Mich.) each attained two points (2A) in the 13-0 win. U.S. goaltender Jeff Frazee (Burnsville, Minn.) stopped all 18 shots for the shutout.

Saturday, March 19, 2005 – USA 2, Soo 1 (SO)
ANN ARBOR, MICH. – The U.S. National Under-17 Team won Saturday night (March 19), 2-1, in a shootout against the Soo Indians. U.S. scoring came from Patrick Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.), with assists from Brian Strait (Waltham, Mass.) and goaltender Brett Bennett (Williamsville, N.Y.). Greg Squires (White Plains, N.Y.) and Rhett Rakhshani (Huntington Beach, Calif.) notched the two U.S. goals in the shootout. Rhett Rakhshani netted the game winner. U.S. goaltender Brett Bennett (Williamsville, N.Y.) faced 31 shots, pushing aside 30.

Sunday, March 20, 2005 – USA 3, Soo 1
ANN ARBOR, MICH. – The U.S. National Under-17 Team defeated the Soo Indians Sunday afternoon (March 20), 3-1. Both Michael Carman (Apple Valley, Minn.) and Patrick Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.) had two points in the contest (1G, 1A). Chris Summers (Ypsilanti, Mich.) also netted a goal (SHG) for the U.S., and Blake Geoffrion (Brentwood, Tenn.) added an assist. U.S. goaltender Joe Palmer (Yorkville, N.Y.) stopped 17 of 18 shots.

NOTES

The U.S. National Team clinched the number spot in the North Division of the North American Hockey League. This is the first ever NAHL North Division regular season title. As of Thursday morning (March 24), the U.S. National Team has attained 76 points for the number one spot. The Soo Indians are at number two, with 67 points.
The U.S. National Under-18 Team has a perfect 13-0 record at home in 2004-2005. Their latest win came on their last home game, Friday (March 18), when they defeated the Toledo Ice Diggers, 13-0.
Rhett Rakhshani (Huntington Beach, Calif.) scored the game-winning goal in a shootout against the Soo Indians on Saturday (March 19). This is Rakhshani's second shootout goal of the season, his first game-winning, shootout goal of 2004-2005.

Patrick Kane (Buffalo, N.Y.) has three points (1G, 1PPG, 1A) in his last two games. Kane recorded a power-play goal against the Soo Indians on Saturday (March 19), and a goal and an assist on Sunday (March 20) against the Soo.

Chris Summers (Ypsilanti, Mich.) played his first game since January 20, 2005, with an injury. He participated with the Under-18s in a 13-0 win over the Toledo Ice Diggers on Friday (March 18), recording an assist. He also tallied a short-handed unassisted goal in Sunday's 3-1 win (March 20) over the Soo Indians.

Jack Johnson (Faribault, Minn.) recorded seven points (2G, 1PPG, 4A) in the Under-18s victory Friday night (March 18), 13-0, over the Toledo Ice Diggers. This is the best point output in a game this season by any NTDP participant.

Peter Mueller (Bloomington, Minn.) notched six points (3G, 1PPG, 2A) in Friday night's 13-0 win over the Toledo Ice Diggers (March 18). This is the best point output in a game this season by Mueller. In the last four games, Mueller has recorded 14 points (7G, 1PPG, 6A).

Ryan Stoa (Bloomington, Minn.) recorded four points (1G, 3A) in the 13-0 win over Toledo (March 18). His last four-point game performance came on Friday (March 11) in a 4-1 win over the Soo Indians where he had two goals and two assists. Stoa finished his last eight games on a scoring streak, posting 18 points (6G, 12A).

Jason Lawrence (Saugus, Mass.) recorded three points (1G, 2A) in Friday night's win over Toledo (March 18). His last three-point game came on February 10th; Lawrence posted a goal and two assists against Sweden at the Five Nations Tournament in Tjorn, Sweden. The Under-18's won that game, 6-2.

Phil Kessel (Madison, Wis.) added four more points to his season and career totals (2PPG, 2A) in Friday's victory over the Soo Indians (March 18). Kessel has earned 159 points in his NTDP career, surpassing the previous all-time NTDP record of 153 held by Andy Hilbert (1997-99). Kessel broke the record on Friday (March 11) with a two-point performance (1G, 1A). His 159th career point came on a power play goal on Friday (March 18th) against the Soo.
