Tycoons sign DeRon Rutledge

Fort Worth, TX. Steve Tucker, Head Coach of the ABA Fort Worth professional basketball team today announced the signing of former Texas A&M All-American DeRon Rutledge. According to Tucker, "DeRon has been a top flight pro player for eight years in both the USA and internationally - and now he's coming home to join me as part of the Tycoons team. We couldn't be more pleased."

Rutledge is a native of Houston and make his home in Houston in the off-season. As a pro player, he has averaged 23.2 ppg and 11.6 rpg while playing in Spain, England and the US. Rutledge added, "Coming back home to the State of Texas to play is great and I'm looking forward to it. I've known Coach Tucker for a long time and it will be good to play for him again. We are looking to do big things in Fort Worth with the Tycoons."

Tucker concluded, "DeRon is a great player and an even better person. I believe in bringing him to Fort Worth to be a part of our Tycoons basketball family is a big step forward for our team. Being able to sign players of DeRon's caliber is special indeed. He will help our team immensely and I believe he will be one of the top players in the ABA."
