Kentucky Retros News Release

Louisville, KY. Stephanie Roach, owner of the ABA Kentucky Colonels today announced that the pro basketball team would be playing its home games at the Louisville Gardens starting in mid-November. According to Roach, "We are very excited about playing in the Louisville Gardens. Our goal is to bring back the glory years and excitement of the original Kentucky Colonels. We're doing some extensive repairs there including fixing broken seats, painting, upgrading locker rooms and restrooms and some serious cleaning. It will be a great place to watch a game."

Jesse Dickerson, Director of Marketing, added, "And now we're ready to begin selling season tickets - fan friendly and affordable. Season tickets are priced from $180 to $360 each for 18 games - and you get a free hat or T-shirt, plus money saving coupons to be redeemed at local businesses and a $5 off coupon at the Colonels Gift Shop. All of our Season Ticket Holders will have first-choice of all Post-Season games and any Special VIP Events that the team hosts.

Roach concluded, "I'm not sure if people are aware of this - but this is the 30th Anniversary of the Colonels ABA Championship - and we want to bring the ABA trophy back to where it belongs."

The Kentucky Colonel home games will be broadcast on Radio Station WLOU-AM and hope to have the away games broadcast over the internet. Former NBA star Tree Rollins is the team president and former U of Louisville player Henry Bacon is the head coach.
