NBA scouts, come on down, your seats reserved

August 26, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release

In an effort to ensure that ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies ballplayers recieve an opportunity to play on the next level the franchise will reserve 30 premium front roll seats for 30 NBA team scouts for each home ballgame.

NBA scouts are in and out of town and have a lot of tapes to watch, whether recruiting talent or scouting opposing teams in the Southeast region of the NBA such as Miami, New Orleans,Charlotte and Memphis says Gwizzlies CEO/Owner Embry Malone. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is a hub for those NBA team scouts travel schelude and if they can run in and watch a ballgame with free parking, reserve seats and game tapes waiting after the game surely this might be something they might not mind doing says Malone. Our basketball advisers told us that as soon as we develop a reputation for having ballplayers called up to the NBA, our program reputation will grow Gwizzlies officials state.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
