The Blizzard and the Titans are familiar opponents as Cedar Rapids' roster contains six players and one coach that have spent time in Green Bay in the past. In addition to a difficult season, the Blizzard have been hit by the injury bug over the last couple of weeks. Starting OL Kris Cavitt, OL Adrian Battles, DL Junior Aumavae, DB Mark Watley, WR Allen Daniels, have all been placed on injured reserve in the last two weeks. The five players combined to make 31 starts this season and several were the most productive players at their position. The Blizzard will look to several new players such as OL Max Westphal, a local product from St. Norbert College, to help fill in.

The Blizzard offense is led by QB Nate Wara. The dual-threat QB is second in the IFL in rushing yards with 585 and is tied for fourth in the IFL in rushing touchdowns with 15. Additionally, he has 1311 passing yards and is second in the IFL in completion percentage, completing 56.7 percent of his passes.

WR Donte Sawyer snatched two touchdown receptions last week and now has at least two touchdown catch in three consecutive games.

The revamped Blizzard defense is starting to see the effects of Defensive Coordinator James Kerwin's schemes as the team stymied the Titans top-ranked rushing attack to less than half their normal output and held the Titans to just nine first downs, a season-low. Five of the eight players defensive starters have started three games or less for the team. DB James Ackel led the team in tackles with seven and he now leads the team in tackles with 39, despite missing three games this season. DL Leon Mackey has now recorded two consecutive games with a tackle for loss.

The Titans have secured a spot in the 2014 IFL playoffs for the second consecutive season.Ex- Green Bay QB Spencer Ohm leads the Titans and threw for 151 yards and four touchdowns against his former team last week. RB LaRon Council, will look to return to the Titans lineup this week after missing last week's game with injury. The workhorse RB leads to the IFL in rushing yards with 695.

On defense, the Titans are anchored by defending IFL Defensive Player of the Year DL Xzavie Jackson. Jackson has 5.5 sacks this season after leading the league with 14 last season. Rookie LB Pasqule Vacchio leads the team with 65.5 tackles and also had 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
