Two Sign Professional Deals
The Bismarck Bobcats are proud to share that former Bobcats Jared Pike and Hunter Shepard have signed professional contracts.
Pike (2014-16) has signed with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, an affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. He spent the past four years at American International College, where he collected 45 points in 144 games. The Utah native had 71 points in 116 games with the Bobcats, and was named to the 2014 All-Central Division Rookie Team and the 2015 All-Central Division Team.
Shepard (2014-16) has signed with the Hershey Bears of the AHL, an affiliate of the Washington Capitals. He spent the last four years at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he led the team to two Division 1 National Championships. He won two NCHC Goaltender of the Year awards while at UMD, and was named to three NCHC All-Star Teams in four years. Shepard has his name written in Bobcat history books, with the single season wins and shutout record in 2015-16 (34 wins, 8 shutouts), while tied for first in Bobcats history for shutouts with 9 total.
