Two Powerhouses Meet in Great ABA Game
December 28, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Arkansas RimRockers News Release
Little Rock, AR. For the second time, the Arkansas RimRockers defeated the powerful Mississippi Stingers in ABA action, 103-83. During the first half of the game, the RimRockers struggled to shake off the holidays trailing 45-40 at the half. Kareem Reid led the RimRockers in scoring going 8 for 13 from the field and finishing with 23 points and 10 assists for the night. Todd Day and Brian Jackson added 17, Gee Gervin finished with 15 and Brian Jackson contributed 10 points to the final score.
Sunrise Honda Owner Ricky Floyd of Searcy served at the 11th man and made it into the RimRockers history book. After some uniform adjustments by Reid, Floyd played the final minute of the game. He was fouled under a 3D possession and went 0-3 from the free-throw line, but scored on a layup his next time down the court. We believe he was the first ever 11th man to score points in an ABA Game. Good things just keep on coming.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
