Two Move up to American Hockey League

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that F Bobby Robins earned his first call-up to the AHL this season, as he has been loaned to the Abbotsford Heat, and G Allen York has been reassigned by the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Springfield Falcons.

Robins has been loaned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League, marking his first trip to the AHL since he played five games for the Rochester Americans and one game for the Syracuse Crunch in 2007-08. In his AHL career, Robins has played 102 games with 11 goals, 11 assists, and 144 PIM. The 30-year old forward currently leads the Express in PIM with 119 in 27 games, and posted a three point night (2g, 1a) last Friday in a 5-3 win over the Elmira Jackals.

The Express will also be without G Allen York, as the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL have reassigned him from Chicago to Springfield. York has played six of the last seven games for the Express, and on the season has a 2.99 GAA, a .903 save percentage, and a 4-2-1-0 record. The 6-4, 170 pound rookie goaltender has played in four games with the Blue Jackets, posting a 3.53 GAA and .878 save percentage.

Chicago is back at the Sears Centre on December 30 and 31, and January 1.
