
ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Kalamazoo's Bootland fined, suspended
Kalamazoo's Darryl Bootland has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #253, Kalamazoo at Elmira, on Dec. 17.
Bootland was assessed a match penalty for boarding under Rule #41.4 at 13:30 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Bootland will miss Kalamazoo's games against at Cincinnati (Dec. 21) and vs. Toledo (Dec. 23).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Stockton's Foreman fined, suspended
Stockton's Jordan Foreman has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #256, Idaho at Stockton, on Dec. 17.
Foreman was assessed a major penalty for elbowing under Rule #45.3 at 3:11 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Foreman will miss Stockton's games at Bakersfield (Dec. 26) and at Las Vegas (Dec. 27).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Wheeling's Minella fined
Wheeling's Christiaan Minella has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #258, Wheeling at Reading, on Dec. 17.
Minella received a game misconduct for abuse of officials under Rule #39.5 at 18:53 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Alaska's Gentile fined
Alaska's Brandon Gentile has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #259, Ontario at Alaska, on Dec. 18.
Gentile received a game misconduct for secondary altercation under Rule #46.6 at 14:30 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Ontario's Couture fined, suspended
Ontario's Derek Couture has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #259, Ontario at Alaska, on Dec. 18.
Couture was assessed a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 14:30 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Couture will miss Ontario's game at Las Vegas on Dec. 26.

Ontario's Irwin fined, suspended
Ontario's Geoff Irwin has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #259, Ontario at Alaska, on Dec. 18.
Irwin is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Irwin will miss Ontario's games at Las Vegas (Dec. 26), at Bakersfield (Dec. 28) and at Stockton (Dec. 30 and Dec. 31).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Ontario's Kraemer fined
Ontario's Kyle Kraemer has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #259, Ontario at Alaska, on Dec. 18.
Kraemer was assessed a misconduct for abuse of officials under Rule #39.4 at 20:00 of the second period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Greenville's Robinson fined, suspended
Greenville's Brett Robinson has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #260, Greenville at South Carolina, on Dec. 18.
Robinson was assessed a double-minor for high-sticking at 13:00 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Robinson will miss Greenville's game against Reading on Dec. 22.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
Idaho's Plekhanov fined, suspended
Idaho's Andrei Plekhanov has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #263, Idaho at Utah, on Dec. 19.
Plekhanov was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding at 17:41 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Plekhanov will miss Idaho's games against Alaska (Dec. 21, Dec. 22 and Dec. 23) and against Las Vegas (Dec. 30).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
