Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release

Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations Eric Tillman announced today they have signed import receiver Kahlil Hill and import linebacker Josh Buhl to multi-year contracts. Financial details of the signings were not released.

Hill played in two regular season games with Hamilton in 2006 after being released at the end of training camp by the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. In 2005, the Iowa product dressed in six regular season games with Hamilton and had 16 receptions for 208 yards and a touchdown.

Prior to joining the CFL, Hill spent time with Detroit, Buffalo, San Francisco, and New Orleans after he was originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL draft by Atlanta.

"Kahlil gives us the much needed capability to flip the field with his vertical speed and return ability," stated Tillman. "This year we have to generate more big plays to improve this team and he can certainly help us in that regard."

Buhl is entering his first CFL season after spending the past two years with the Denver Broncos. Prior to joining the Broncos, the 25-year old spent time with Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Cleveland. In 2005, Buhl dressed in four games with Rhein and Amsterdam in NFL Europe.

Buhl spent four seasons at Kansas State where he was a three-time All-Big 12 Conference selection. He was also a semifinalist for the Butkus Award given to the nation's top linebacker.

"Josh is a heck of a football player," stated Tillman. "At Kansas State, he was a flat out tackling machine. In truth, if he was a little bigger, Josh would be one of those guys who would have had a very successful career in the National Football League."
