Lake Elsinore, CA - Rafael Ynoa had four hits to lead the offense, while the bullpen fired four scoreless innings of work, as the Quakes dropped the Lake Elsinore Storm for a second straight night, winning 7-3 at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore.

Angelo Songco blasted an important two-out homer in the ninth, as his 21st homer of the year, a three-run shot off reliever Zach Herr, gave the Quakes some insurance and a 7-3 lead.

Logan Bawcom, who came out of the bullpen with two outs and two men aboard to earn the final out in the eighth, pitched around a two-out double in the ninth by Nate Freiman to earn his fourth save in a Quakes' uniform.

The Quakes trailed 1-0 after three, but tallied three times in the fourth against Storm starter Mike Watt. Wise had a two-run single to drive in a pair before Ynoa singled home another for a 3-1 lead.

Quakes' starter Arismendy Ozoria (5-5), who gave up three runs over five innings, allowed the Storm to tie the game in the fifth, but would benefit from a run in the sixth to earn his second straight win.

Tied 3-3 in the top of the sixth, Rafael Ynoa doubled home J.T. Wise for a 4-3 lead against Lake Elsinore reliever Matt Lollis (4-7).

Carlos Frias pitched well out of the Quakes' bullpen, tossing 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief before Bawcom went the final 1 1/3.

Rancho (20-13, 58-45) moves into a first-place tie with Lake Elsinore atop the South Division Second Half Standings, thanks to their second straight win over the Storm.

Red Patterson (1-0) will go to the hill on Friday night for the Quakes, taking on Lake Elsinore's Nick Schmidt (1-2) in the third game of the four-game set. First pitch from Lake Elsinore will be 7:05pm.
