Two Greenville Groove Players Invited to NBA Training Camps

Greenville, SC – The 2001-2002 NBDL Champion Greenville Groove is proud to have two league standouts invited to NBA Training Camps. Thomas Hamilton, All-NBDL First Team center, was invited to the New Orleans Hornets camp and Jeff Myers, the NBDL Defensive Player of the Year, is participating in the Toronto Raptors training camp.

Hamilton, a 7-2 center, led the Greenville Groove to the inaugural season NBDL Championship. The native of Chicago, IL averaged 10.0 points and 9.4 rebounds, earning him first-team All-NBDL honors. He has also played for the Boston Celtics (1995-1996) and the Houston Rockets (1999-2000).

Jeff Myers, a 6-2 guard, also assisted the Groove in capturing the NBDL Championship title. During the 2001-2002 season he averaged 12.8 points per game and led the Groove in assists, with 6..6 per game. Prior to joining the NBDL, Myers played in International Basketball League, Continental Basketball Association, and the United States Basketball League.
