DANVILLE, VA - The Danville Braves close the home regular season with 7 p.m. games Thursday and Friday against the Bluefield Orioles as the D-Braves prepare for the Appy League Championship Series Sept. 2-4. The Braves have a couple special nights planned at Dan Daniel Memorial Park, so come out and join in the first-place fun!
Thursday is the fourth straight Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark with select 14 oz. beer and fountain sodas offered at discounted prices. So grab a cold beverage, a hot dog and some popcorn on the way to your seats and enjoy Braves baseball!
The Braves will host Fan Appreciation Night on in the home regular season finale, sponsored by Innkeeper Hotels and Daly Seven. The night will feature a spectacular post-game fireworks show. During the Grab Bag Giveaway, fans will also receive a gift on their way into the park on a first come, first-serve basis with one item per fan.
Thursday, the Braves send right-hander Cory Rasmus (3-2, 3.74 ERA) to the hill against 2009 Appy League Right-handed Pitcher of the Year Vito Frabizio (4-3, 2.91 ERA).
