The Corpus Christi Hooks' season opener is only two days away. The 2006 Texas League season begins when the San Antonio Missions come to town on Thursday, April 6th. Opening day will be the first of fourteen home games played at Whataburger Field in April.
First pitch for Opening Day is slated for 2:05 pm and gates will open at 12:00 pm as Corpus Christi Hooks Day gets kicked off with a party in the stadium. Great live music - including the band Latin Influence and mariachis- great food, and family fun are all on the bill for the opening day festivities at Whataburger Field.
Come on down and meet ân greet the 2006 Corpus Christi Hooks at IBC Bank this evening at 5:00 pm. The event is a great opportunity for fans to gather autographs, shake hands, take pictures, and get to know the new squad - which features 16 new faces this season, including top prospects Hunter Pence and Juan Gutierrez, the Hooks' Opening Day starter this Thursday. IBC Bank is located at 221 South Shoreline in downtown Corpus Christi.
