Two BayHawks Named to NBA Development League All-Star Squad

Erie, Pennsylvania, Monday, February 4 - The Erie BayHawks have multiple NBA D-League All-Star selections as Erie's D.J. Kennedy and Henry Sims were both named to the NBA D-League All-Star team this afternoon. Both BayHawks will participate on the Prospects Team in the NBA D-League All-Star game.

Kennedy (6-6, 215, St. John's) leads the BayHawks in scoring, assists and minutes per game. The second-year pro is currently averaging 18.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest. He has recorded ten double-doubles and scored at least 20 points twelve times this season. In his one and a half seasons with the BayHawks, Kennedy has quickly become the team's third all-time leading scorer (1,191) and assist man (320) and he currently ranks second in steals (107).

Sims (6-10, 245, Georgetown) has become a dominant force in the paint for the BayHawks. The rookie center is currently averaging 16.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Sims has also recorded nine double-doubles this season and has scored in double figures in 23 of Erie's 27 games. In Erie's recent three-game road trip, Sims averaged 22.0 points and 14.7 rebounds per game, highlighted by a 29 point and 17 rebound effort in Tulsa last Friday.

The NBA Development League All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, February 16 in Houston, Texas on Sprint Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session and will be aired live on NBA TV at 3 p.m. ET.
