Kingsport Axmen News Release
Kingsport, TN - The Elizabethton Twins were able to salvage the finale of this week's three game set with a 6-3 victory at Kingsport.
The Twins were able to rally off the Kingsport bullpen, scoring four runs in the final four innings after Kingsport tied it at two apiece in the fifth.
Jefferson Escorcha took the loss in relief for the Mets, snapping his undefeated record and dropping to 6-1.
Offensively the Mets were limited to five hits on the evening.
Scott Ota tripled in the fourth and scored on an Andres Regnault ground out.
Then one inning later Tanner Murphy singled and scored on an Anthony Dirocie triple, tying the game at two before the Twins' offense flexed their muscles.
The Mets travel to Bristol for a four-game series, including a double header tomorrow. Kingsport is back in action at Hunter Wright Stadium on Monday as they open up a three-game series against the Danville Braves.
Monday is Family Night at Hunter Wright, sponsored by Goodwill. Families have the option to purchase four GA tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $24!
