DENVER -The Denver Outlaws scored a 22-21 overtime victory over the Rochester Rattlers on a beautiful Saturday evening in front of 6,000 plus fans during the Grateful Dead Showdown at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The 22 goals scored were the most for the Outlaws in 2015 and the total points scored by both teams was the most in an MLL game this season.

Attackman John Grant Jr . scored the game-winning goal with his seventh tally of the night 1:23 in to the five minute overtime period after the Rattlers tied the game at 21 with a two-pointer by Jordan McIntosh with :04 left in the match. The Outlaws rallied in overtime after the Rattlers dominated the fourth quarter, putting in nine-of-10 shots on goal and sending the game to overtime .

The Outlaws pulled out the big guns for the showdown on the final day of spring with a total of seven different Outlaws putting points on the board. Attackman John Grant Jr. had a huge night with seven goals and midfielder Jeremy Sieverts added six for the first sock trick of his career. Grant Jr.'s numbers tie for the most goals in Outlaws history and the most in a single game in the MLL this season.

In addition, for the first time in the history of Major League Lacrosse, three brothers each scored for the their single respective team: Mike Bocklet (3), Chris Bocklet (1) and Matt Bocklet (1).

Without Anthony Kelly at faceoff, Rochester got off to a quick start with John Otolani winning the faceoff against Michael Simon and the Rattlers rapidly moved ahead of the Outlaws with a four-goal first quarter and continued their dominance throughout the first 15 minutes, including a two point goal by Justin Turri with an assist from Jordan Wolf, just three minutes into the game.

The Outlaws answered by narrowing the gap by one score, 4-3, by the end of the first with two goals by Grant Jr. and one by Chris Bocklet . Denver owned the second quarter just eight seconds into the period with Matt Bocklet ripping one into the goal unassisted, followed up with a Grant Jr. goal for a hat trick and Justin Pennington's first of the night and another follow up by Junior.

With seven minutes left before the half Michael Bocklet got his first of the night, making it the first time three brothers on the same MLL team each scored a goal. By the half four different Outlaws players went 7-for-7 to lead the Outlaws going in to the half 10-7.

Mike Bocklet came into the third with guns blazing scoring two separate goals in the first three minutes making it a hat trick night for the eldest Bocklet brother. The third would prove to be a shootout between the two teams with eight shots on goal by both teams and concluding in a final score of 16-12

Next week, the Outlaws will take on the Charlotte Hounds at American Legion Memorial Stadium on Saturday, June 27 with faceoff set for 5 p.m. MDT. Denver will return home the following weekend to face the Boston Cannons on Saturday, July 4 at 7:00 p.m. MDT.
