Tulsa Acquires Torraye Braggs

GREENVILLE, S.C., December 14 - The Tulsa 66ers have claimed forward Torraye Braggs from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived center Cedric Suitt due to injury.

Braggs, 6-8, 245, was signed as a free agent by the Houston Rockets on September 8, 2003 and played in 22 NBA games with the Rockets and the Washington Wizards, averaging 8.1 minutes, 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds during the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons. He has also played professionally in Greece, Israel, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Spain, as well as with the Rockford Lightning and Yakima Sun Kings in the CBA. He averaged 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds in two seasons at Xavier University after spending two seasons at San Jose City College.

Suitt played in eight games for Tulsa (six starts), averaging 17.3 minutes, 2.6 points and 3.5 rebounds.

Braggs is expected to be in a 66ers uniform when Tulsa visits Albuquerque for games on Friday and Sunday at Tingley Coliseum.
