Tulsa 66ers Host NO/OKC Hornets Affiliate Night

TULSA, Okla., March 9, 2007 - Saturday, March 10 is New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets affiliate night. The Hornets official mascot, Hugo, will be on hand to entertain fans, sign autographs and take pictures. The Hornet Honeybee Dancers will also perform throughout the night. All 66ers fans are encouraged to get to the arena early and be one of the 1,066 lucky fans to receive a Hornets affiliate t-shirt. Game action tips off at 7 p.m.

Fans will also be entertained by performances from the Lady 6ers, the official dance team of the 66ers, in addition to Routie the Roadrunner, the team's energetic and entertaining mascot. Kids can also enjoy $1 admission to the Kids' Zone until the third quarter; the area includes interactive inflatables, various activities and fun for kids of all ages. Doors and Kids' Zone opens at 6 p.m. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The D-League currently includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders (Calif.), Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).

The D-League continues to develop talent from across all disciplines for the NBA's 30 teams and the entire NBA umbrella. In addition to the assignment of 22 NBA players to D-League affiliates this season, there have also been 15 GATORADE Call-Ups from the D-League to the NBA. Additionally, every referee hired by the NBA since 2002 has worked in the D-League, while coaches, athletic trainers and front office executives are also being developed.
