The Winnipeg ICE host the Calgary Hitmen Tuesday night, 7:00 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena

ICE CHIPS

Following a weekend sweep of the Brandon Wheat Kings by scores of 6-3 and 5-0, the ICE shift their focus once again to the Calgary Hitmen.

Winnipeg were 2-0 winners over the Hitmen last Tuesday at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena thanks to goals from Ben Zloty and Tanner Brown along with Daniel Hauser's 14 save shut out.

The ICE have a 4-0-1-1 record in the month of March. This is the busiest month of the season with 15 games (nine at home, six on the road) in 27 days.

ICE VS HITMEN

Tonight is the finale to Winnipeg and Calgary's four game regular season series: (Oct 27 @ Cal 3-2 W / Feb 18 @ Cal 3-1 W / Last Tuesday @ Wpg 2-0 / Tonight @ Wpg).

Conor Geekie leads the ICE with four points (two goals and two assists) versus the Hitmen.

During his time as a member of both the Lethbridge Hurricanes and ICE, Chase Wheatcroft has seven points (three goals and four assists) this season against Calgary.

Daniel Hauser is 3-0 with a 1.00 goals against average and .958 save percentage.

The ICE roster includes 15 forwards, 8 defenseman and 3 goaltenders. 16 players are eligible for the 2022 NHL Draft led by Matthew Savoie and Conor Geekie, who were selected first and second overall respectively by the ICE in the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft (Boucher, Brown, Bruce, Friesen, Geekie, Hauser, Milne, Newell, Pederson, Savoie, Streule, Swan, Wheatcroft, Zloty).
