October Juggernauts:
The Roadrunners have started the season off strong at 3-1 in four games played. They opened the opening month of October with a two-game sweep against the Texas Stars and a 2-1 win on Tuesday Morning's Field Trip Day Game over the San Diego Gulls. Tucson has a knack for having strong Octobers to start the season. Including the four games played this month, the Roadrunners have an October record of 30-13-1-1. With a sweep over the Bakersfield Condors this week, Tucson can start with a 5-1 record for the second straight season.
NASCAR Night:
The Roadrunners will be racing to the TCC on the team's NASCAR night on October 27th. Phoenix Raceway will be displaying their NASCAR show car and race trophy for an unforgettable photo-op for all fans. CLICK HERE for our special experience NASCAR Ticket Package. Fright Night:
In celebration of Halloween, the Roadrunners will be hosting Fright Night on October 28th. Kids 12 and under will receive a Roadrunners Trick or Treat Bag from Williams and Associates while supplies last. Kids will also have the opportunity to dress in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat beginning at 6:10 p.m. CLICK HERE to join our exclusive in-game Halloween Party. The Home Stand Continues:
The Roadrunners' home stand continues this Friday and Saturday against the Bakersfield Condors. The Roadrunners went 4-3-1 against the Edmonton Oilers' Affiliate last season, including a two-game weekend sweep last season on Saturday, Oct 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd. Tucson outscored Bakersfield 10-6 in the two games including four power-play goals.
The Slovakian Army Knife:
Roadrunners forward Milos Keleman has been a workhorse for the team in its four games to start the season. He had the game-winning-goal on opening night against the Stars, two assists on the two lone goals scored on Tuesday's win against the Gulls, is tied with Dylan Guenther and John Leonard in shots (11) and has been the team's best penalty killer creating several scoring chances while shorthanded. Keleman has three points (1 goal, three assists) in four games to start the season.
Matthew Vill(wall)ta:
Netminder Matthew Villalta has statistically been the best goalie in the AHL through the first four games of the season. Only three goalies other in the entire league have started four games in: Jiri Patera from the Silver Knights, Jakub Skarek from the (Bridgeport) Islanders, and Matthew Villata. Out of those three goalies, Villalta has the lowest goals against average with a 1.77 GAA and highest save percentage at .939.

Tucson Roadrunners Happy Hour airs every Tuesday at 5 p.m. on FOX Sports 1450AM and the iHeartRadio app, with a podcast version also available after each episode on the iHeartRadio app. This week "Voice of the Roadrunners" Adrian Denny, with co-hosts Kim Cota Robles and Brett Fera, are joined by Roadrunners forward Hunter Drew postgame after the team's 2-1 early afternoon win over the Gulls. In addition, a new episode of the Tucson Roadrunners Insider Podcast released on Sunday, as Adrian Denny and Jonathon Schaffer recap the Home Opener and preview the next matchups of the home stand.
