American Hockey League Announces Front-Office Staff Reorganization

October 25, 2023 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... American Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Howson announced today that the league has made several responsibility changes within the league's front office:

Chris Nikolis is now Executive Vice President, Business Development, and will focus primarily on league corporate sponsorships and revenue, including broadcast and streaming properties.

Sean Lavoine is now Vice President, Marketing and Licensing, and will focus on league marketing initiatives and the AHL's licensing and online retail programs.

Vice President, Hockey Operations Hayley Moore will now also lead the league's diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Sean Smith is now Director, Business and Streaming, focusing on the league's AHLTV and AHL Authentic programs.

Alison Izzi has been promoted to Director, Hockey Administration.

Stephen Thomson has been promoted to Director, Officiating and Player Safety.

Morgan Price has been promoted to Manager, Social Media.

In addition, Ryan Kazeroid has been hired as Director, Finance & Administration to succeed Drew Griffin, who will be retiring on Dec. 31, 2023, after 30 years in that position.

In operation since 1936, the AHL serves as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives and broadcasters of every National Hockey League organization. Nearly 90 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 100 honored members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL in their careers.
