Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release
The RoughRiders have completed their Main Tryout Camp at ImOn Ice Arena this weekend.
The Camp featured 119 skaters who were invited by our coaching staff. In total, there were five practices and twelve games over the weekend.
Rider fans showed up to the Stable to support the team after being idle last year due to the Derecho of last August. The RoughRiders Booster Club was able to raise $2,225 through our NHL Alumni Jersey Auction this weekend. To all the fans who attended, bid on jerseys, and followed along, we are so appreciative of your support.
Up next for the RoughRiders is another camp in Woodbury, Minnesota in a few weeks. Once that is complete, we will have a better idea on who will be suiting up for the RoughRiders in 2021-22.
The Regular Season begins on September 23rd against Omaha in the Dicks Sporting Goods Fall Classic. The Home Opener is October 16th against Des Moines.
