Milwaukee Wave News Release

MILWAUKEE (Nov. 3, 2008) - Troy Dusosky, a defensive mainstay of the Milwaukee Wave for the entire decade, signed his Xtreme Soccer League contract today and returns for his ninth season in Milwaukee.

Dusosky led the Wave with 27 blocks last year and also had 17 goals, matching his best total in a Wave uniform. With six restart goals, he was second in the league. Four of his goals were game-winners.

"I'm extremely excited about Troy returning for his ninth season with the Milwaukee Wave," said Keith Tozer, Wave head coach and vice president of soccer operations. "He has proven himself over the years to be one of the elite defenders in the league on both sides of the ball.

"It's an important signing not only for the team on the field, but as one of the top site directors for the Wave Summer Soccer Camps," Tozer added.

Overall, Dusosky has played 13 indoor seasons since debuting with the Cleveland Crunch at age 19 back in the 1995-96 season. He played his 200th game in a Wave uniform last year and is seventh on the team's all-time blocks list with 260.

The Milwaukee Wave open their Silver Anniversary season at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 with a home game against the Detroit Ignition. The inaugural season of the Xtreme Soccer League features Milwaukee, Detroit, the Chicago Storm and New Jersey Ironmen playing a 20-game schedule from mid-December through April.

Founded this summer by the Milwaukee Wave, Detroit Ignition, New Jersey Ironmen and Chicago Storm, the Xtreme Soccer League is more than an indoor soccer league. The Xtreme Soccer Xperience is an energetic and innovative 12-month sports lifestyle brand built around skilled soccer professionals, entertainment and fan participation - both live and online.
