Tropics Take Down SeaWolves in Lakeland

Lakeland, FL - In their second game in three days, the Orlando SeaWolves took on the Florida Tropics for the fourth time this season, falling 10-3. Orlando now moves to 1-7 on the season.

Florida opened up the scoring in the first off of an own goal,  but Rafa Tobias equalized later in the quarter to tie the game back up at 1-1. The Tropics would score three straight between the first and second quarter to take a 4-1 lead. Luiz Mota managed to pull one back seconds before halftime to make it 4-2 as the teams went to the locker rooms.

Orlando came out of the locker room firing as Jeff Michaud scored his second goal in two games to cut the deficit to 4-3, however, Florida scored seconds later to give the Tropics a two-goal cushion again. The home side would add one late in the third to make it 6-3 after three quarters.

Florida scored early in the fourth then later in the quarter, to make it 8-3. The Tropics scored two more late to finish out the game with a 10-3 result over the SeaWolves.

Orlando will now have a week to practice and prepare to take on the Florida Tropics once again in Lakeland on Sunday, January 19, with kickoff set for 3:05 pm. That game will be broadcast on masl.tv.
