Tropics Take Down SeaWolves in Lakeland

Lakeland, FL - In their second game in three days, the Orlando SeaWolves took on the Florida Tropics for the fourth time this season, falling 10-3. Orlando now moves to 1-7 on the season.
Florida opened up the scoring in the first off of an own goal, ÃÂ but Rafa Tobias equalized later in the quarter to tie the game back up at 1-1. The Tropics would score three straight between the first and second quarter to take a 4-1 lead. Luiz Mota managed to pull one back seconds before halftime to make it 4-2 as the teams went to the locker rooms.
Orlando came out of the locker room firing as Jeff Michaud scored his second goal in two games to cut the deficit to 4-3, however, Florida scored seconds later to give the Tropics a two-goal cushion again. The home side would add one late in the third to make it 6-3 after three quarters.
Florida scored early in the fourth then later in the quarter, to make it 8-3. The Tropics scored two more late to finish out the game with a 10-3 result over the SeaWolves.
Orlando will now have a week to practice and prepare to take on the Florida Tropics once again in Lakeland on Sunday, January 19, with kickoff set for 3:05 pm. That game will be broadcast on masl.tv.
