Adirondack Frostbite News Release

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Frostbite, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), today announced that Tropical Fitness will be their official workout facility. This is the first season that Tropical Fitness and the Adirondack Frostbite have a working agreement.

Tropical Fitness has two convenient locations for the Frostbite players. One facility is located at Mt. Royal Plaza, Rt. 9, Queensbury and the other is located on Main St. in Warrensburg. Owned and managed by Steve Carroll, Tropical Fitness offers BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT classes, the only two of its kind in all of Eastern New York State.

"I am excited about a partnership between Tropical Fitness and the Adirondack Frostbite. I think we can do a lot of things together which will have a positive impact on this community." said Carroll. "Also, our BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT classes are a great way to help the Frostbite players with their conditioning."

BODYPUMP is a strength endurance training class where muscle and music collide. It is designed to get you maximum results in the shortest amount of time by working your entire body in one hour. BODYCOMBAT is the workout with PUNCH! It is a high energy cardiovascular training class that combines moves from a range of martial arts disciplines.

The Frostbite now have ten players signed for the 2004-05 season: forwards Hugo Belanger, Frank Littlejohn, Trevor Segstro, David Burgess and Sylvain Cloutier, defensemen Scott Drevitch, Kamil Kuriplach, Steve O'Rourke and Henrik Bergfors and goalie Derek Gustafson.

Season Tickets for the 2004-05 season are on sale now at the Frostbite front office located at the Glen Street entrance of the Glens Falls Civic Center. Tickets may be purchased at the office from 9AM to 6PM Monday through Thursday and from 9AM to 5PM Friday or by calling 926-PUCK. Also, kids may vote now on the name of the new Frostbite mascot.
