Troops Open Playoffs Friday Against Sudbury Wolves
March 20, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
North Bay Battalion News Release
The Brampton Battalion opens its best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Sudbury Wolves at home at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Battalion, which finished third in the Central Division and fourth in the conference, meets the fifth-seeded Wolves, who finished fourth in the division, in the playoffs for the second time.
The unavailability of the Sudbury Community Arena for four days starting Thursday means that the Battalion will host the first two games and Sudbury the third and fourth games. The standard OHL protocol is to alternate home dates, unless the competing centres are at least 480 kilometres apart.
Following is the series schedule:
Friday, March 23, at Brampton 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 25, at Brampton 2 p.m.
Tuesday, March 27, at Sudbury 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 28, at Sudbury 7:30 p.m.
*Saturday, March 31, at Brampton 7:30 p.m.
*Monday, April 2, at Sudbury 7:30 p.m.
*Tuesday, April 3 at Brampton 7 p.m.
* if necessary
Season ticketholders are reminded that tickets for the first three home playoff games are included in their package. Use Playoff Game 1 for Friday, and Playoff Game 2 for Sunday. Further information can be obtained from Battalion Headquarters at (905) 874-2393.
