January 19, 2017 - SPHL (SPHL)
Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C.- Three players who began the season in the SPHL played for the host Adirondack Thunder in last night's 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic as the ECHL All-Stars defeated the Thunder 8-7.
Mississippi RiverKings center Cullen Bradshaw and Peoria Rivermen defenseman Conor Riley each recorded an assist, while Pensacola Ice Flyers goaltender Drew Fielding made 17 saves in the two-half contest.
The 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic featured the host Adirondack Thunder taking on the ECHL All-Stars in a non-traditional format featuring 5-on-5, 4-on-4, and 3-on-3 play, as well as a Skills Competition (Puck Relay, Hardest Shot, Fastest Skater) to highlight the talents of both teams.
Bradshaw, who was loaned to the Thunder on January 10, was leading the SPHL in scoring at the time of his call-up with 29 points (19 assists and 10 goals) in 26 games. Riley received his call-up on December 5 after recording a pair of assists in eight games with Peoria. Fielding played three games for Pensacola before his loan to Reading on November 15 and was claimed off waivers by Adirondack on January 13.
