Tri-City Dust Devils News Release

A G.K. Young home run was not enough for the Tri-City Dust Devils (13-18, 32-37) on Monday night as the team fell 4-2 to the Eugene Emeralds (22-9, 50-19). Buddy Reed continued his hot stretch at the plate, extending his hitting streak to seven games.

Young hit his blast on the first pitch of the second inning to give Tri-City the one-run lead. Eugene answered back in the bottom of the second, driving in two runs off of a Sam Tidaback double. The Dust Devils tied the game in the fifth inning after a Nate Easley two-out single scored Josh Magee.

Eugene took the lead back for good in the sixth inning and added an insurance run in the eighth inning to keep the game out of the reach for Tri-City.

Right-hander Hansel Rodriguez will start the second game of the five-game series on tonight, while the Emeralds will counter with right-hander Dylan Cease. The team will return home for the final series of the season starting Saturday. There will be a Post-Game Fireworks Show that night presented by McCurley Integrity Dealerships. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
