Macon Trax News Release
MACON, Ga. â The Macon Trax and the Miami Manatees made the first multi-player trade in WHA2 history during the 2003 Summer League meetings. Macon head coach Tommy Stewart and Miami head coach Zac Boyer completed the trade which gives Miami the WHA2 playing rights to former Trax players defenseman Stephane Desjardins, forward Jeremy Kyte and forward/defenseman Corey Smith.
In return, Macon received forward Bruce Watson. Watson, a six-foot-two, 220 pound left winger played for the Cape Fear Fire Antz last season. In 26 games, Watson had 41 points and 268 penalty minutes.
"Bruce Watson represents one of this leagues premiere power forwards and we are looking forward to have him fit into our game plan." Stewart said.
